Personalizing Gifts
During the holidays, we give the most gifts, so it's always nice to have a detail made by ourselves, as it gives a more personal touch.
For example, if we have a small gift, instead of wrapping it in the store, we can do it at home in a simple and original way: Take a container, like a tomato can, or something similar, and decorate it with Christmas motifs. For this, besides the can, we'll need metal paint of any color, some brushes, a sponge, and a toothbrush!
First, try to remove all the stickers from the can until only the metal is left, then apply two coats of the chosen paint. Use the brush or sponge depending on the effect you want to achieve; perhaps the most Christmas-like colors are blue and burgundy. When it's dry, dip the toothbrush in white paint and splatter the can, making it look like snow! To create the design you choose (a Santa Claus, a Christmas tree, little gift packages… anything!), you can use a brush and paints, or, if you prefer, an easier option is to do it with gold, silver, glitter permanent markers… and decorate it to your liking.
If you think you won't be able to make a nice drawing, as a last resort, you can paint the can and instead of drawing the decorations, buy them and stick them on it.
If the size of the gift you want to store doesn't fit in a can, you can use a cardboard box that's a bit bigger, a small clay pot, anything you can think of!
This idea can be done at any time of the year, replacing the Christmas decorations with hearts, stars, any fun drawing works!
