The Puzzle
Doing puzzles is an activity many people turn to as an entertaining way to pass the time. Puzzles are a fun challenge for many while providing immense satisfaction once completed. With this in mind, why not explore puzzles in a romantic way?
The first thing we propose is that you visit a photo shop that prints photos on puzzles. This service is now common in most stores (if you can't find a physical store, you'll surely find one easily through Google) and it's not expensive at all. Order a puzzle of a special photo for the person you want to surprise, and you'll have an original and endearing gift.
Another way to explore the puzzle concept is to print a treasure map on one where you've hidden a little surprise. Take advantage of the map being made up of different pieces to give them to the surprised person little by little. A good suggestion could be to combine the delivery of the pieces with a small scavenger hunt, where each clue leads to a piece of the map.
One last puzzle idea: print a heart on one and take advantage of the symbolism: tell your partner that pieces of the puzzle were missing until you met them. A slightly more sophisticated version of the idea: also create a second puzzle featuring your partner on the same heart background, take the pieces that correspond exactly to that part, and play with the possibility of mixing both puzzles (ask to have the puzzle cut with the same piece mold!). In this case, the idea would be how the heart has transformed piece by piece to achieve happiness.
