Themed Dinner
Idea suggested by Lucía.
Last week, we talked about taking a surprise weekend trip with our partner to one of the many beautiful cities around the world. Since this isn't an idea that's affordable for everyone, we propose a more accessible alternative that will also add a different touch to the classic "come over for dinner and a movie" plan.
The idea we're proposing this week is to host a themed dinner. In this and future newsletters, we'll suggest themed menus with representative dishes and drinks from different countries (you can find them in the culinary arts section within the art petal), so you have our culinary suggestion as a starting point to explore new cuisines.
As complements to the dinner, you can create an atmosphere that matches the menu. For example, this week we propose an Italian menu, so you can accompany the evening with music from famous singers from that country (Jovanotti, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti...), watch an iconic Italian movie (Manuale d'Amore, The Tiger and the Snow, or Life is Beautiful by Benigni...), and bring in a poster or photomontage with representative monuments of the place (how about a photo with your partner next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Who cares if you've never been! You can always say it's a photo from the future ;)).
