SOMEDAY

Someday when I look at you my heart won't race, someday when I talk to you I won't think of the word love.

Someday at the edge of night I'll wake up with a scream having fallen asleep and seeing that I no longer dream of you.

Someday when it's cold I won't think of your warm voice nor your warm body, I'll warm myself with the rays of the sun.

Someday when I search for you in a beautiful awakening, I'll realize it was only a dream that won't come true.

Then in that awakening I'll understand what I didn't want to understand that ours will only be friendship no matter how much I come to love you.

And that's why I'll sentence your memory to an eternity in oblivion although I know you won't fulfill my sentence because your memory still lives in me.

THROUGH A SCREEN

The light in my room is off, only the dim light of a screen shines. I'm in front of a computer but not the one behind it, the beloved person.

I see your image in motion but I don't see the sparkle in your eyes. I gently bring my hand to the screen, and it seems like I touch you, but I touch nothing.

A tear slides down my cheek knowing you're on the other side. If at this moment I could cross the world to rest in your lap...

I write to you what my enamored heart dictates, you write to me with feelings, not words. So close to my heart and so far from my body, so far from my room and so close to my soul.

I shout your name in the solitude of the night, knowing that in the distance my voice will be lost, you seek my gaze in the darkness of your room, knowing that in the distance my warmth was lost.

The wait becomes eternal, I need to feel your presence. Our little world becomes reality, through a screen our love was born and now I have you in front of me and I won't let you escape.

LETTER TO THE HEART

Dear enamored heart that you are a prisoner of yourself you have something money can't buy because you are a very fortunate being.

You keep the best-kept secret, you soothe it with a flattering gesture; although you are of resistant steel only love has softened you.

That same love that leaves you wounds, that will heal in a future if you don't leave them open to the sun.

For all those things achieved for what we still have to live, that's why I write: letter to the heart.

KNOWING NOTHING

You don't know what my name is, what word will make me turn to you. You don't know what my destiny is, when I pass by you every day.

But you do know my gaze, when it joins with yours and observes you. You know my biggest smile, the one that tries to seduce you while not kissing you.

You don't know what I know, that behind your gaze hides an 'I love you.' You don't know what I also know, that my heart loves you and shouts it to the wind.

You know my silhouette from afar, when we meet on the street of love. You know the color of my eyes, when you look at me stealing my heart.

You don't know the touch of my skin, we have never touched. You don't know the sound of my voice, we have never spoken.

We only know each other physically, coming to know nothing about each other. But the wind knows what we don't know that we both love each other when we look into each other's eyes.

Because when we look into each other's eyes, the magic of love makes time stop. When we look into each other's eyes, our pupils tremble revealing an 'I love you.'

I won't be the one to break the spell to which your eyes have subjected me. You won't be the one to break the magic that gives meaning to our lives.

Knowing nothing I'll look at you, when we meet on the street of love. Knowing nothing you'll look at me, when you feel your heart beat strongly.

MERGED INTO ONE

The rain tonight slides slowly on every fold of your face.

Your silk hair, black as this night, tangles between my fingers.

The moon in the sky also reflects in the shine that your serene eyes emit.

Your hands join with mine, timid, soft, silent, they clasp in caresses.

The stars are accomplices of the desire awakened by your lips on mine.

Your perfume's scent penetrates every pore of my skin, reminding me of your presence.

The waves' sway arriving at the shore imitates the sway of your waist.

The rain falls on us, barely noticing, and love blooms from nothing.

Passion and desire become lovers on the beach with us as witnesses.

We, you and I, only the two of us, merge into one.

The rain slowly ceases, your head resting on my chest, my hands caressing your hair.

The moon bids us farewell, your eyes closed from exhaustion, your hands rested on mine.

The stars barely show with a sun radiating energy and warming your sweet lips.

The air we breathe smells of the sea, my hands still smell of you, as you lie asleep on me.

The waves continue their sway, without pause but without hurry, and your waist rests calm.

There's no trace of the rain, the sun rose without fear and found us.

We, you and I, only the two of us, merged into one.
