It was in Germany where the idea of Advent Calendars originated, but not only that, they also prepare Advent cookies there! Want to learn how to make them to sweeten the wait for Christmas? INGREDIENTS (for 4 people) 300 grams of butter 100 grams of powdered sugar 2 packets of vanilla sugar (if desired) 1/2 teaspoon of coffee, of salt Lemon or orange zest 2 eggs 400 grams of flour 1 teaspoon of baking powder
HOW TO MAKE THEM:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees to warm it up. Beat the butter until it's frothy, gradually adding the sugar. Add the vanilla sugar and the grated lemon zest. Add the eggs one by one and continue beating (add some flour so the butter doesn't curdle). Add the flour mixed with the baking powder. Fill a pastry bag with a star nozzle with the dough. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shape the cookies as desired. Bake for about 12 minutes. Let cool. You can dip one half in chocolate coating and let dry.
